z 2010 ARCA SIM RACING ONLINE SERIES RULEBOOK

**This rulebook may be updated as the series gets underway. Please check back and stay up-to-date with the rules and regulations.

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

  • ALL DRIVER WILL ENTER THE SERVER WITH THEIR FULL FIRST AND LAST NAME. Example: John Doe. Users that do not follow this rule will be asked to leave and change their login name to the PROPER structure according to our rules and to keep scoring organized in a professional manner.
  • NO DRIVER at any time will allow background applications such as MSN, Yahoo or AOL messenger to be running during a race. If you Crash To Desktop because of this you will be parked and booted from the race. Teamspeak and ASR are the only applications you should have running during a race.
  • All drivers are expected to understand and abide by the rules...no exceptions, no excuses and no complaining to race officials.
  • Drivers will maintain professional attitudes while in any server or communications channel assigned to them.
  • All drivers must use a Wheel and Pedal. No keyboard controls are allowed.
  • Any driver that reserves a number and does not compete in an event is due to have their number reservation revoked. An audit will be performed every four weeks and if a driver has not competed in a race at that time the number they have reserved will be opened up for reservation.
  • If a competitor continually causes on-track problems in any Pro Series they will only be allowed to compete in the Pro-Am Series until officials approve them for Pro competition. If the driver continues problems in the Pro-Am Series they will be put on a two week suspension from all competition.

IN-GAME TEXT CHAT AND TS3 COMMUNICATIONS RULES

  • Text chat may be used only to communicate to race officials.
  • No text chats are allowed to other drivers.
  • No pit in/out chats allowed. You may say in the TS3 channel: Car# Entering Pits or Exiting Pits if needed.
  • Drivers will at no time argue with another competitor or race official during the race on chat or communications channels. You can argue after the race and not in a public room. Not obeying this rule will result in a drive-thru penalty for your first occurrence. Second occurrence will result in a one-lap penalty, deduction of 25 points and a $1500 fine. Third occurrence will result in a two race suspension.
  • ALL DRIVERS must be in the main race TeamSpeak 3 channel to be able to race. Not being in this channel will be treated as not having a spotter on the spotters tower and you will not be allowed to start the race until you are back in the channel.
  • If you have a penalty that you believe was falsely applied to you...simply say this in the Communications Channel: You Car#/Dispute Penalty
  • You can assign private chat PTT keys to talk to other competitors, but we NEVER want to hear it as the channel is for race protocol communications between drivers and officials only.
  • At no time will any driver argue with an official if you have been given a penalty or disputed a penalty and it was deemed that the penalty was properly assigned. You can talk to an official after and only after a race in regard to the penalty and its assignment to you.
  • If you talk out of line, or argue with other competitors or officials during a race you will be given a drive-thru penalty for your first offense. If you do it twice you will be parked and asked to leave the communications server.

CHEATING

  • Users caught cheating by use of memory cheats or modified files will be suspended indefinitely.
  • Cheat protection will be used to scan drivers memory as well as all physics, track and camera files.
  • Drivers will be given the link and must download and install the cheat software.
  • All drivers finishing in the Top 6 each race will need to send us the generated file on their system for inspection after the race. If you dont send the file or did not install the system you will recieve a DQ for that race.

ENTERING/EXITING PITS

  • If an access road is available all drivers must use this to enter and exit pits. You shall not enter the track before the blend line on backstretch unless an official has said that the blend line rule is not in effect.
  • Entering pit road off of turn four is prohibited if there is a access road at the track in question. You must enter the access road off of Turn 3 or where instructed by the race officials.
  • Commitment cones are in effect and will be told to you by the race official before each race.

START/RESTART PROCEDURE

  • The leading driver will START the race at the start finish line only.
  • The leading driver will RE-START the race at their own discretion when passed the restart line which will be assigned by the official before each race in the drivers meeting.
  • Green Flag will be texted into the chat window by an official when the leader breaks pace speed.
  • Pace Speed will be assigned at each track and must be obeyed. If the leading driver exceeds the pace speed a warning will be issued. If the driver does not slow to pace speed he or she will be moved to the end of the longest line.

SLOW/LAPPED CAR RULE

  • Just like in life...slow cars will maintain the low line on the race track. NO EXCEPTIONS unless otherwise instructed by race control!

SMOKING ENGINE RULE

  • Cars that begin to smoke due to overheating will be treated as loss of fluids on the track.
  • If smoke exists for one full lap the driver will be instructed to pit and remove tape from the car within one lap of the warning.
  • Failure to comply with the warning will result in a (SG) Stop & Go penalty.
  • If it is the end of the race and a driver is warned for smoking and there is not enough laps left to serve the penalty before the checker or GWC, the officials will treat this as a debris call and throw a caution. Pit road will remained closed for a quickie yellow and the driver must stop and remove tape and will restart at the end of the longest line.

RACE PENALTIES

  • All penalties will be served under GREEN FLAG conditions only.
  • On a start/restart a driver can pass only on the right side of another driver before the Start/Finish line. Passing on the left will result in a (DT) Drive-Thru penalty.
  • Speeding on pit road will result in a (DT) drive-thru penalty. Tolerance will be in place for this rule but only for the first 50 feet from the entrance of the pit road.
  • Entering a closed pit road will result in an (EOLL) end of the longest line penalty.
  • If a race official warns a driver of aggressive driving the first occurrence is warning, the second will be a drive-thru penalty and the third will result in the driver entering their pit stall for a one-lap penalty. Occurrences past this will be served a penalty which will be at the officials discretion. You may be Black Flagged for X amount of laps or simply parked for the race.
  • Passing below the yellow line will result in you relinquishing that position back to the driver that was passed illegally.
  • Cars that attempt to squeeze below a slow or lapped vehicle will be warned once...if it happens again the penalty will be a drive-thru penalty.
